Press Operative

Staffpower Group are currently recruiting for multiple Press Operatives for our client based in Gateshead who specialise in high volume metal pressing for the automotive industry.

Shifts & Salary:

Monday to Thursday (possibility of Friday working to be introduced)

• Day Shift 6:30am – 4:30pm
• Back Shift 12:30pm – 10:30pm
• £10.42 per hour

The role is on a temp to perm basis 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent contract been given after your 12th week.

Duties:

• Folding and pressing of metal components
• Working with raw materials such as steel and aluminium
• Read and interpret shop orders, diagrams and drawings
• Set up and operate the press machines
• The environment can be very noisy and oily
• Heavy lifting will be required for this position
