Construction & Retrofit Trainer

Staff Power Group are a leading provider of construction & green skills training. We have secured funding in the East Midland region and are looking for passionate and committed freelance trainers to cover some of the course we deliver in the region which support adults over the age of 19 moving into employment once the course has been completed and interviews with local employers completed. We deliver these courses across the construction and retrofit sector and within the shortage sector of solar installation (non electrical), External and internal wall insulation as well as more generic general multi skilled labourer. We have a fantastic rate of our learner going into employment after completing our courses and a lot of this is down to our trainers on the courses provide top class training and support.

The Role

You will be delivering our 10 days skills bootcamp courses on either a solar bootcamp (if your expertise allows this) or general construction. Within this you will be delivering the Level 1 Health and safety in a construction environment and preparing your learners to take their CSCS touch screen test, along with other site related courses like manual handling, asbestos awareness and working at height. Within this your also scanning your group and proving support to them individually for their interview with a local employer with the intention of giving them their best chance at being successful within the interview.

We’re particularly keen to hear from people with experience in:

· Solar Installation

· General construction

· Domestic retrofit and insulation measures

You’ll need:

· A recognised teaching or assessor qualification (e.g. A1, L&D9DI, PTLLS or equivalent)

· Industry competence in your area of delivery

· A commitment to learner success and quality delivery
