I have over 6 years experience in both temporary and permanent recruitment across a range of sectors, including food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and automotive. I enjoy building strong relationships with both clients and candidates and take pride in finding the right fit for every role.

Outside of work, I’m a big fan of football, boxing, and Formula 1. I also love spending quality time with my family & friends, whether that’s heading off on a holiday or enjoying days out together.

I’ve been in the recruitment and training world since I was just 17, kicking things off with an apprenticeship and I’ve never looked back!  I joined the amazing Staffpower family in 2021, and I genuinely love what I do (and the brilliant team I get to do it with!)

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me hunting down the next exciting place to eat, I’m always up for trying something new!  I also love to travel, especially to the USA.  It’s become a bit of a summer tradition, and so far, I’ve ticked 26 states off the list… only 24 to go!

With around 2 years’ experience in recruitment, I specialise in the manufacturing sector, supporting both temporary and permanent placements. I genuinely love what I do – building strong relationships with both clients and candidates, and helping people find the right opportunity is something I take real pride in. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what keeps me motivated and driven in such a fast-paced environment.

Outside of work, I’m a huge football fan (Newcastle ALL the way!), and I enjoy spending time at my allotment and getting away camping whenever I can.

I ‘fell’ into recruitment fifteen years ago and immediately loved the fast-paced environment! I have worked my way up the ranks, starting as a Resourcer in the International Oil and Gas sector, before gradually specialising as an Operations Manager in UK Trades and Engineering, on and offshore. I pride myself on the client relationships I have formed and the fact I class many as friends after years of working together.

I’m a proud mam to two teenagers, Nathan and Ruby and my furry baby, Pearl. I love walking with my husband on weekends and watching recordings of Countdown with a Prosecco!

With over seven years of hands-on experience in the recruitment industry, starting as a Resourcer and progressing to my current role as a Senior Consultant. Throughout this journey, I have specialised in the provision of temporary trades personnel, within the Engineering sector. I pride myself on my ability to match skilled candidates with the specific and often urgent needs of my clients.

When I’m not immersed in the fast-paced world of recruitment, you’ll likely find me in the gym, booking a flight somewhere hot or enjoying a long walk with my Cockapoo, Frankie.

Teagan Black

With over seven years of experience in temporary and permanent recruitment, I’ve built my career around connecting great people with great opportunities. Starting out as an Apprentice Recruitment Consultant, I later moved into an in-house Talent Acquisition role before returning to agency recruitment, giving me a well-rounded perspective of the hiring process. I’ve also specialised in recruitment across Europe, supporting both candidates and clients across a range of markets. Passionate about building strong relationships, I take pride in understanding people’s needs and ensuring every placement is the right fit.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and family, discovering new food and drink spots, walking my Patterdale Terrier Archie, and attending music festivals and concerts when I can.

20 years ago, I had the opportunity to work in recruitment as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, something I had never thought about doing! It did not take long and I had the recruitment bug, it is like a rollercoaster and no 2 days have been the same ever since.

I have worked for over 10 years at a national agency specialising in both sales and account management. I have run my own business which specialised in Permanent Recruitment and I am now delighted to be part of the fantastic team at Staffpower Group.

Away from work I enjoy cooking, travelling, and spending time with my beautiful family.

Samantha Nelson

Following a background in Operational Management and Logistics, I took a new path and started working within the recruitment industry in 2019 which I thoroughly enjoy. As a new addition to Staffpower Group, I’m excited to get heavily involved seizing every opportunity to learn and grow as I go extending my skillset to excel within my role.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends while also being an avid gym goer. I love to cook and travel experiencing new cultures.

Julia brings nearly three decades of recruitment experience, supporting organisations in attracting and securing top talent since 1996. She began her career as a Commercial Recruitment Consultant and progressed from trainee level through to management within the commercial recruitment sector.

Recruitment has always been more than just a career for Julia — it is a genuine passion that has remained throughout her professional journey. She is committed to delivering the highest standards across both the candidate and client experience, ensuring a professional, seamless, and positive process at every stage.

In 2002, Julia chose to focus her career on the growth and development of recruitment businesses. Since then, she has successfully led and supported business expansion, consistently delivering strong results while building long-term partnerships based on trust and service excellence.

As Head of Business Development at Staffpower Group, Julia is responsible for maintaining and driving high recruitment standards for both existing clients and new organisations joining the business. From entry-level positions through to specialist headhunting assignments, she takes great pride in the results delivered and the trust clients place in Staffpower to support the growth of their teams — something never taken lightly.
